As part of our merger with Union Bay Credit Union, on September 9 we will be integrating the Union Bay Credit Union banking system with the First Credit Union banking system. This integration resource centre has been created to answer your questions about what the banking system integration will mean for you.

Upcoming Union Bay Product & Service Changes

Effective Friday September 9th 2022, all legacy Union Bay accounts will be switched to a First Credit Union account.

Important Information for Existing First Credit Union Members

If you are a current First Credit Union member please check here for any service notices.
 

Prior to Friday, September 9th, here are some things you will need to do:

  1. Pick up your new debit card from a local branch
  2. Follow the instructions for Interac e-transfer (see ‘Important Information for legacy Union Bay Members’)
  3. Review account brochures to see how your account will be impacted (see ‘Union Bay Product Changes’)

After Friday, September 9, here are some things you will need to do:

  1. Download the First Credit Union mobile app
  2. Remove Union Bay mobile app from your phone
  3. Sign into digital banking (online or mobile app) using your account number
  4. Reset account alerts and your Interac e-Transfer profile
  5. Set up Interac Autodeposit
  6. Add Interac e-Transfer recipient contact information
