Tap and Go with Interac Flash® Expand/Collapse

Interac Flash® is a contactless debit feature that allows you to purchase everyday items quickly, easily, and securely by simply tapping your Interac Flash® Member Card on a Interac Flash®-enabled payment terminal. Simply tap, and go.

Use Interac Flash® as a convenient and secure way to make purchases under $100. Once you accumulate $200 in pay-by-tap purchases, you will be prompted to insert your chip card and enter your PIN to confirm you are the authorized card holder. This will reset the tap limit back to zero.

Interac Flash® uses EMV secure chip processing to store and process data securely. This protects you from fraudulent activity, such as card skimming or electronic pickpocketing.

Look out for the Interac Flash® logo on payment terminals to identify whether they are compatible with Flash technology.

This feature is optional on cards issued in June 2018 or later with the Interac Flash® logo on the card. Please visit your local branch if you’d like a new Interac Flash® debit card.

Buyer Protection Extended Warranty Expand/Collapse

Every time you use your MEMBER CARD® debit card to make a purchase, you are protected against things like loss, theft, damage or breakage for a full 90 days after the purchase. You will also have the security of Extended Warranty which can double the manufacturer's warranty up to one year longer. Best of all, there are no forms to fill out, no applications, and no extra cost. Chequing accounts are also offered the same protection.


This coverage offers protection on the purchase of most retail items - and that includes gifts. For a full 90 days after the purchase, the item is protected if it is lost, stolen, or dropped and broken.

Valid claims will be satisfied either by replacing the lost or damaged item, or by a cash payment in an amount not to exceed the amount of the total purchase price.


The program doubles the warranty period of purchased item up to one entire year, as long as the manufacturer's warranty is valid in Canada for five or less years.
